Colorado weather is hard on fences. High winds funnel through the Front Range, wet spring snow loads pickets, and freeze-thaw cycles loosen posts that were close to the edge already.
After a storm, walk the full fence line. Look for leaning posts, cracked rails, missing pickets, and gates that won't latch square. Take photos before anything moves — they help with insurance and with planning the repair.
Not every section needs to be replaced. A solid repair often means resetting a few posts, swapping damaged pickets, and tuning gate hardware.
